What comes to mind when you hear of beautiful songstress Tiwa Savage.
Is she a musician? A Performer? An Artist?
Most people will call her that but I believe she is so much more. Nothing beats talent than a mash up of uniqueness because talent is never enough. Find your niche, make it a home and a home for others.
I admire Tiwa Savage not because she is a musician or an artist or a performer but because she is who she is, a pop diva.
Some say she imitates Beyonce but Tiwa is Tiwa and if people think of Beyonce when they see Tiwa, she is definitely doing something right.
The eclectic singer continues to release hit songs after hit songs and also carry out her mother duties gracefully. Tiwa’s songs are beautifully crafted and borne from the heart with a voice like a siren beckoning you to ease. So it is either you are dancing or just drowning in the mix.
With people like her in the industry, I believe the Nigerian music genre won’t be seen as beautiful nonsense or a truck load of noise but music with a purpose therefore solidifying its influence on the world map.
Tiwa is a muse not just to me but to everyone home and abroad. She is a goddess, a woman of strength, humility and dignity. A woman of great power. She isn’t held back, she isn’t someone who believes that because she has arrived she should settle but she pursues her dream like she hasn’t even started.
I write this with great admiration and full support for Tiwa Savage. She doesn’t just have fans, she is a source of inspiration to everyone proving that the best and purest form of art is cultivated and nurtured with passion.
If I am to meet Tiwa today, I will thank for not relenting notwithstanding what life hurls in her way.
If music is an expression, she does it effortlessly well with a perfect blend of craft, creativity and intelligence.
Tiwa Savage isn’t just a musician. She is music. She is the revolution.
